Find the Stunk before they find you out.
Everyone in the room shares the same secret word — except one player. They're the Stunk, and they have no idea. Talk, bluff, probe, and vote them out.
What is Stunkelstein?
Stunkelstein is a social-deduction party game for in-person groups, played on your phones. Everyone shares the same secret word except one player — the Stunk — who doesn't know it and must blend in. Players give clues, talk, and vote to catch the Stunk. The Stunk wins by surviving the vote or by guessing the secret word.
If you've ever played Spyfall, Undercover, or "the game where one person doesn't know the word," you already know the feeling. Stunkelstein is the named, polished version of that imposter word game — built for a real room: zero setup, short rounds, and a reveal that lands.
How does a round work?
1 · Everyone joins
One person starts a game and shares a 6-character code or QR. Everyone joins on their own phone — no account needed.
2 · Secret roles
Each phone privately reveals a role. Everyone sees the secret word — except the Stunk, who sees nothing and has to fake it.
3 · Talk & bluff
Go around giving clues and asking questions. The Stunk improvises to blend in. The room hunts for who doesn't quite fit.
4 · Vote & reveal
A 90-second vote decides who the room thinks is the Stunk. Then the truth drops — caught, or the Stunk escapes.
Why people love it
- Teaches in two minutes. If you can describe a word, you can play.
- The suspense comes from the room, not the app — it's about reading faces and catching a flinch.
- Short and punchy. Rounds run in minutes, so you play "just one more" all night.
- Scales to a crowd. Great from 4 players up to a packed living room.
- Perfect for pre-drinks, game nights, and icebreakers — and it doubles as a drinking game.
Ready to catch a Stunk?
Grab the app, share the code, and start your first round in under a minute.
